Dear Offended Self,

The next time you wake up at three a.m. struggling with anger and unforgivenes because of the past offenses against you, recall the things you said and did that were done in the flesh, not from God’s Spirit. You might toss and turn for a while as it may not come to you right away (proof you have the ability to forgive offenses… yours against God). Here’s a hint: Remember each response you had when you were outraged at the injustice you suffered. Remember when you confessed your anger and asked God to forgive you. Now ask God to give you the right heart, not the self-focused one that makes you revert to being the unforgiving offended. Ask Him to give you the same ability to forget others’ sins as you do your own.

Be broken before the Lord and repent of your own sins. Those are the only things you are accountable for (aside from people stumbling because of your poor witness from not following the Lord). You are not accountable for others’ sins. Each one will account for his own sins. If you are still busy counting specks on others’ eyes instead of the log in your own (even if you think they have the log and you have the speck), you make yourself vulnerable to be tempted to stumble. If you are not mourning your own sin, you are grieving Jesus who suffered mocking, humiliation, abandonment, and the most excruciating and cruel, agonizing death on the cross for the sake of you, the only sinner you should be worried about.

Isa 14:18 NIV “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

How do you rebuild a house? You do not keep embracing the moldy, termite-infested, and rotten parts that spread its destruction where it can. You tear those parts down; when you do, you do not keep them. You do not even let them lie around the side of your house for you to stumble over one day when you are strolling in the garden. You do not even let them remain within your borders. Don’t just paint over the old. You get rid of it. Otherwise, it will be as though you’re going around your being-rebuilt-house carrying moldy, termite-infested rotten materials to every room you go to even embracing them in your sleep and hauling them to the bathroom at three am. Gross. If you insist on carrying them around, you will not be surprised that you will feel disgusted. Beloved, there is a more precious house you are rebuilding than the physical: your spiritual house.

Jesus makes you new. You want to be in Christ, abiding in Him, don’t you? Then let the old be gone. The new is here. Experience it being gone. The new is here in Jesus. Stop getting in the way of ushering in the new.

2Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

God’s train is about to move, stop still having a tantrum on the platform. If you have made the decision to rebuild, then by all means, be consistent. Do not rebuild the front and tear down the back. The word is “r-e-b-u-i-l-d”. Release Every Burden Urgently In Lord’s Dominion. He is able. He is willing. He is not a fabricated god—the kind that’s a creation of a CREATED being— with ears, eyes, and feet that can’t hear, see, nor walk—the kind that needs to be carried out by man in case of fire. Your God the CREATOR can not be bribed by the most profuse tears and abundant offerings,

24 “… who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. (Acts 17)

He… holds all power and dominion over all that’s creatED. He is seated at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church (Eph.1:20-22);

He whose word is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from His sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (Heb 4-11-13). No one can hide from Him, not in silence, not in dark corners, not in solitude. He sees through everything everywhere everytime. No one can mock nor deceive Him. Parade a Miss World pageant of little gods and all of them put together will not be able to hold a candle to the One True God.

This First and Last God is able to work things out, He sits enthroned as King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Let Him do His job of being God; you are not (God) so stop acting as though you are. He doesn’t need anyone’s counsel because He is the God of all wisdom. But you need His. Your job is to trust and obey Him. Ask Him to increase your faith. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions. Know the Truth of His Word so you don’t get deceived by the partial truths of the enemy. The enemy is an unloving slave driver who will just use you for his purpose of killing, stealing and destroying (John 10:10). He is the father of lies. So don’t give the enemy a field day, something to rejoice about.: a toe-hold, an entry point for him to gain control of you again via the sin of disobedience through unforgiveness. Instead, give the Lord something to rejoice about: you sticking to His plan.

Yes, you were offended (that’s a declaration by faith that you are not offended anymore because you are looking at this picture from the heavenly realm, not from your earthly eyes). But this is not about you. Never was, never will be. Life is not about persons. Everyone is here for a limited time and goes back to dust. If during your limited earthly journey you want to accept God’s invitation to participate in His work that counts for eternity, then by all means, come and join. Otherwise, you just go back as dust that just occupied space and served as an air pass-through. All the accolades and awards, you think God is impressed with these perishable rewards? What are these for? They’re supposed to point to His all-surpassing power. You think anything you have or have achieved is from your effort? It’s all by God’s grace. He could have easily appointed these for someone else. Nothing is yours that He didn’t give. One snap and it could all be gone. The only thing you can boast about is having Christ. You think you’re too important that no one can do this to you? How dare they? You forgot what your Master went through for you? The servant is not above her Master, is she? Read from Philippians 2, won’t you?

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Do Everything Without Grumbling

12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life.

There is a lot at stake far greater than your bruised ego. The One True God loves you unconditionally eternally. Not even the whole world can surpass that. That’s all the loving you will ever want. That’s the only kind that will never fade. Yes, you are God’s Princess. Stop acting like an earthly princess. The former attitude is supernaturally divine, the latter just superficially diva.

You have to decrease in your life; God has to increase. Stop it already about you were hurt. Or you’ll never experience the new thing.

You have been crucified with Christ and you no longer live, but Christ lives in you. The life you now live in the body, you live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave himself for you. (Gal 2:20) So if you are crucified and dead to yourself and dead to your lil’ ol’ feelin’s boohoohoo, then you shouldn’t be complaining and grumbling about the things that crucified your flesh, should you? How can someone dead (to self) and crucified even point or wag a finger? If you are still pointing, wagging a finger and feeling offended, then you are not dead to self. You are still so alive in your flesh. Wrong progression, Beloved.

1 Corinthians 10:10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

You will rebuild, restore, and renew for the sake of the generations after yours. The generational curses before yours are cut in Jesus’s name.

Isa 61:4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.

You have a problem with Pharaoh yoyo-ing about agreeing to do right and then going back on his/her promise? Hey, it’s not by your human effort or timing that Pharaoh will change. But God knows exactly what to do with Pharaoh. Your job? As for you, you follow Jesus.

Run the race heavenward, Beloved. Fight for your children’s children’s legacy. If you are serious about the rebuilding business, then get serious about forgetting the past. Don’t allow it to pop up like Carrie or Alex Forrest. Let it go. God is in charge. Stop acting pa-bossing-bossing. Review your lessons on Spiritual Warfare. This is no joke. This is not a battle you can fight in your flesh. There is a battle going on for your soul, for your loved ones’ souls, for every person’s soul. Only by the power of God’s Spirit can this be won. Pray you don’t be like Pharaoh with a hard heart. Pray that your loved ones will not be like Pharaoh. Pray that people being like Pharaohs will not perish but that their and all our eyes be opened

2 Tim 2:26 and we may come to our senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

Fix your eyes on Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. He is rooting for you. By His stripes you are healed in His name amen.
