Sometimes all we get are fuzzy clues.
Sometimes the task for the day is just getting from one stitch to the next, one step at a time. There are stretches of empty, arduous drab, and bursts of livening colour. All are essential to complete the design of the one who created the pattern. Cooperation with the designer accomplishes his purpose; ignoring his design would come out messy.
In our lives may we seek the guidance of the wisest Counselor. May we obey Him in the next step He is guiding us towards, to accomplish His good purposes and wonderful plan which He crafted from His all-knowing, all-seeing perspective. While we can only see what’s in front of us, He sees the big picture.
May we be encouraged when something doesn’t seem to make much sense that God is at work! We, individually, our lives, and the lives of others around us are His works in progress! May we zoom out and look at things from His perspective.
Phil 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you (and me) will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Waiver: I made this cross-stitch pattern when I did not yet know that the prayer on it is not biblically rooted. The inconsistencies being:
“my special family whom I love as much as you”
God calls us to love Him above all, as Number 1
“you’re loving me as much as I love you”
God’s love for us can’t compare to our love for Him because His love for us is always faithful and unconditional and sacrificial.
