Lord, if You struck me every time I opposed You, every time I offended You, every time I was inconsiderate to You, I would not be here today.  It is Your gracious mercy and love that draws me to You, that transforms me to want to be a better person. Thank You for choosing to find beauty in me and continuing to love me even during the times when I am being ugly. Please help me to bless those who oppose me, to truly bless and not curse nor wish them ill; please help me to discover beauty in everyone, even when their momentary passing choice to be ugly stares me in the face. There is beauty in everyone for You have created everyone in Your image.  Help me to seek out that beauty, appreciate it, and affirm it for it will remind that person of his or her beauty in You. Please help me to overlook others’ offenses the same way I would like You to be merciful to mine.  Help me to remember what You did for me. Please help me to get along with everybody, to not insist on getting even and to trust that You will take care of it. I am the one who needs Your grace the most. I receive Yours that You freely give. Please help me to pass it on with sincere love, as my offering of worship and love for You in Jesus’s name amen.
