John 14:1-3 [ Jesus Comforts His Disciples ] “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Imagine Jesus Himself comforting you. He tells you, “Do not LET your hearts be troubled.” You are the one who have the power and authority to allow your heart to be troubled or not troubled. Will you LET your heart be troubled today? You have a choice after all! By faith in God and Jesus Christ.
David Guzik says, “Jesus could only say this to the group after Judas had left. He would not go to prepare a place for Judas – at least not a place in His Father’s house.”
There is great comfort in knowing that after the limited stint in this passing world in this passing body with our passing troubles, the future is with Jesus in eternal joy and peace.
