There were three orange trees lined up in the backyard. The sprinkler system had gone haywire and the two trees on the left didn’t get water while the one on the right got a turbo watering boost. The result was that the two trees on the left were barren while the one on the right had an abundance of fruit.

That reminded me that wallowing in God’s Word (as represented by water)results in more fruit of His Spirit in our walk.

Lord thank You for Your Word which washes me of wrong attitudes and thoughts and nourishes me in the knowledge of Your character that can make me manifest Your character, not because of who I am (because I’m not righteous) but because of who You are— Your good character and Your power to override my flesh so that I can be more like You in Your name amen.
