Waiting

Dear God, I am reminded of Your past abounding faithfulness in my life, Your holiness, Your unchanging love. There are hovering questions in my mind why one of the beloved pastors got a tumor and close call on his life or why the godly wife and mother, Ting, had to die of lupus when they are sold out heart mind body and soul working for Your kingdom, for Your glory and do not need to be convinced further to follow You. On the other hand right around me, I see rebellious people who daily thumb their noses at You while being so healthy, getting chubby even, and deliriously happy sneaking away unscathed.

Thank You for Your Word that tells me You are all-knowing. You see in the dark. There is nothing that escapes Your notice. You are in control. You continue to reign over everything. You are holy. You do not delight in Your people suffering just because. You are just. You ask Your people to leave room for Your wrath because vengeance is not ours but Yours. Your purposes are great. You are sovereign. It is Your will that everyone come to a repentance (2Pet 3:9) You are loving. If we, then, though we are evil, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will our Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matt 7:11) I consider it a good gift that all men and women around me should not perish and everyone come to a repentance to live for You.

Joyce Meyers says not only are we waiting on You, but You are also waiting for us to be willing to change those things that need to be changed so that our hearts will be right and ready for what You have in store for us.

Lord, I choose to trust You that in Your holiness, You allow only what will cause good. I praise and thank You for what You are doing. I wait expectantly upon You to work. I also wait on You to tell me what I need to change in me that will make me aligned with Your will and remove any hindrances that prevent me from seeing You or becoming closer to You in Jesus’s name amen.
