Would You Like A New Beginning?

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Sometimes, we come to a point of brokenness along our life journey. Failures, sins, external circumstances just makes things so complicated that restoration seems impossible.

In Christ, we do not need to exhaust ourselves striving with what seems to be like gluing together broken glass. In Christ, we do not just get repaired, we become new! Every day, He gives us a fresh slate, a new beginning, a new life that doesn’t have to be saddled by the shadows of the old life. When you come to Christ, your old life is indeed gone; You are indeed a new creation in Christ and start from scratch. You can live this new God-given, God-led life by faith that it is God’s will for you.

1 Thess 4:3
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified (definition: “made holy”)

You may get teased that you are a hypocrite for acting righteously. But you are NOT a hypocrite. It is biblical truth that you are really being made new. Progressively. The God of heaven backs you up and is your Defender.

The first time your spirit hears the conviction to change your wrong ways are from the Holy Spirit. When you confess your sin, God is faithful to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness (1John 1:9). When you still keep feeling condemned and accused for your old sins, that is no longer from God but from the enemy.

Rev 12: 10 b For the accuser of our brothers and sisters (Satan), who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Rom 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

Psalm 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has (God) removed our transgressions from us.

2Cor 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.

We were made in God’s image and likeness (Gen 1:26) and when we receive Jesus Christ into our lives, we receive the Holy Spirit with whom we are SEALED for the day of redemption. (Eph 4:30). Our spiritual DNA is God’s and He gave us the predisposition to be like Him. Having the Holy Spirit in us by virtue of receiving Jesus Christ, ignites the process of transforming us according to God’s will to be more like Christ, not by anything we have done but all because of who Jesus is and what He has done.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

2 Cor 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Dear Lord
Thank You for Your Word that helps me understand that no matter what I’ve been through and no matter what I have done, I have a new beginning in Christ minute by minute and I can have confidence that it is Your will that I am a new creation, being made holy, baby step by baby step into the right direction towards you. You are in the business of transforming life one at a time marriages, families, and communities one at a time. Even if the beginning or middle of our journey gets messed up, when we surrender our lives to You, You will be the one to write the new ending that is glorifying to You. Thank You by faith in Jesus’s name amen.
