Above ground are the luxury shops of ION Orchard Singapore.
But when you get to the Basement, at Food Opera, there’s a whole new world … a comfortably furnished food hall that brings together some twenty-seven hawker stalls offering traditional Singaporean street food to try at reasonable prices. Hainanese Chicken, Hokkien Mee, Chicken Satay, Char Kway Teow, and much more! There is something for everyone here.
The fruits immediately caught my attention and I tried the Sour Plum Guava Juice. I highly recommend it. If you like Kiamuy, the sour plum has that taste.
I also saw the Oyster Omelet from Singapore Fried Prawn Noodles Stall.
There were many fresh oysters in the dish.
The fun part about coming to Food Opera with others is that you get to try all their food too! It’s the essence and joy of community in eating together and sharing life.
Looks like a great place Karen!
Hi Zac! Yes it has the Singaporean vibe and signature Singaporean street food of a hawker center but airconditioned with the cleanest modern powder room nearby right on Orchard Road! I love that they have fresh fruit and fruit juices available!
Sounds great! If we get to Singapore I’ll definitely check it out 😊
Terrific! But you must try boon tong Kee:)
I’ll be on the look out!
Wonderful! Hope you enjoy it!
