Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice: Singapore Must Try

This famous Singaporean restaurant started out serving Cantonese Chicken Rice in a small Chinatown stall in 1979. The signature juicy and tender chicken with its ginger, chili, and dark soy sauces sold itself gaining a wider popularity. By 1983, they opened their first restaurant on Balestier Road. By 1999, they added other homestyle dishes and then opened up the more branches.
Since the kids were small, when we visited Singapore, we always made time to visit Boon Tong Kee on River Valley Road. It never fails to satisfy us.

If you are alone or there are just two of you, I would recommend the Chicken Rice and Cereal Prawns and a vegetable of your choice.

I’m happy just with the Chicken Rice.  But it is also good to try their other dishes:
